Set up WLAN under Android with eduroam CAT
Instructions for all devices up to and including Android 10.
For newer devices, please refer to these instructions.
Step 1: Install APP eduroam CAT

The first step is to download the eduroam CAT app from the PlayStore:

All security settings and the certificate are automatically set up via the app.
Step 2: Configure APP

When you open it for the first time, you will be asked for location access. If you allow this, the quickest way to get to the settings of Bielefeld University (if you are located nearby...

These settings must be made manually:
Identity:
-> BITS-Benutzername@uni-bielefeld.de
Password:
-> BITS password
Then go to Install again.
Check connection
In the Status menu, you can check whether the connection to the WLAN eduroam has been established (Connected).
In addition, this is also visible on the WLAN icon of the smartphone.
