Pre-study Master of Education

Pre-study, i.e. the completion of academic achievements for the M. Ed. while you are still enrolled in the Bachelor's program, is intended to facilitate the transition from the BA to the M. Ed. program. This can come into play, for example, if the evaluation of the Bachelor's thesis is delayed or if you fail an examination and, as a result, you cannot yet change of programme to the M. Ed. degree. However, it is intended to be an exception that can only come into focus at graduation. Systematic pre-study may delay your bachelor's degree. However, the timely completion of a bachelor's degree has become even more important, especially against the background of the rewriting deadlines due to the allocation of places in the practical semester with preparatory training.

You may only pre-study courses and Modules which are not pure Master Modules. More detailed information on this can be found under "Pre-study for the Master" in the explanations on the study model.

Modules which are intended for the preparation and reflection of the practical semester with preparatory training, German as a Second Language and the Master's thesis are excluded from the pre-study. Depending on the type of school and the subjects, further modules and/or courses may be excluded from the pre-study.
