Standard office PC or notebook provided and operated by BITS. If required, a standard printer (with scanner, copy and print function) is provided. These workstations are automatically supplied with software and configurations by BITS, and the administration of the workstations is performed exclusively by BITS.
Software:
Software is distributed and installed centrally via desktop management software. The coordination of the provided software portfolio is done with the faculty or department.
For employees from areas supervised by BITS:
As part of the start of employment, the area applies for a corresponding IT workstation via the Service Desk.
As a new service for a faculty/institution:
An application for the service can be made to the Service Desk by the person responsible for ICM in the faculty or
department.
The costs incurred for the provision of this service are determined individually depending on the scope of services.

EDP Supervisors:
Direct coordination between faculty/department IT managers and BITS is required for initial deployment of the service.
Prerequisites:
Use of the BITS Active Directory server is required to use this service.
