Important:

1. In order to access a function mailbox, the owning staff, people must have assigned an authorization (full access and/or dispatch authorization) via PRISMA. In the following example, the address max.muster@uni-bielefeld.de has authorization for the function mailbox funktionspostfach@uni-bielefeld.de .
2. The user interfaces of Android devices may look different and in some cases use different terminology for settings.

The configuration

1.

Exchange accounts are configured via Settings > Users & Accounts > Add Account > Email.

First, the e-mail address of the function mailbox must be entered.

Then confirm with Next .

3.

The BITS password for the personal e-mail address must be entered here.

Also continue via Next.

4.

Select the IMAP account type.

5.

Further settings must be entered/changed.

Important: Different entries must be made for the user names!

Username:
email address of the personal mailbox, "backslash", part of the email address of the function mailbox BEFORE the @ sign. Example:
-> max.muster@uni-bielefeld.de\function-mailbox

Password:
-> BITS password of the personal mailbox(!)

IMAP server:
-> imap.uni-bielefeld.de

Port:
-> 993

Security type:
-> SSL/TLS

Continue via Next .

SMTP server:

-> smtp.uni-bielefeld.de

Port:
-> 587

Security type:
-> SSL/TLS

Username:
E-mail address of the personal mailbox, example:
