A network drive can be connected from the command prompt (cmd) with the following command:
net use p: \\fs-home.uni-bielefeld.de\home\"username" /User:ad\"username"
After confirming the entry and entering the BITS password, the drive is available. The previously selected letter (in the above example "p") is used as the drive name.

A network drive can be disconnected from the command prompt (cmd) with the following command:
net use p: /delete
After confirming the entry, the drive is no longer available. The previously selected letter (in the above example "p") is used as the drive designation.
