Parking lots

Barriere-free parking lotsare available in the parking garages for students, employees and visitors of the university.

In parking garages 2 and 3, there is one signposted parking space for the disabled directly at the entrance.

There are also a total of eight additional parking spaces in the underground parking garage of Building X and five parking spaces in the underground parking garage of CITEC next to the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences.

There is an elevator between parking garages 2 and 3 that provides access to both the University light rail stop and the main building's barrier-free entrance.

Students, employees and visitors of Bielefeld University with limited mobility have the possibility to use parking lots located in the immediate vicinity of the university buildings.

The necessary free access authorization (long-term parking permit) can be obtained upon application and presentation of a severely disabled person's ID card with the corresponding mark for a walking disability ("G" or "aG") in the mail room of the FM department of Bielefeld University:

Visitors can park freely for up to 45 minutes in the designated disabled parking lots if they have the blue parking permit for persons with disabilities in the European Union. For longer visit periods, visitors can contact the relevant faculty to obtain a day pass.
